Nail Polish - Base Coat with squalane

Squalane: an extremely hydrating compound known to reinforce the nails' natural barrier and soften their surface leaving them revitalized.

Bamboo extract: a great source of silica, known to help restructure nails keratin for stronger, fast growing nails.

AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids): helps restore, rejuvenate and harden nails.

Vitamin E: a vital antioxidant to preserve nail health. It helps protect the nail plate against external agressions.

The majority of nail polishes on the market contain multiple toxic ingredients that can be harmful to health. Also, while this information is often not shared, many nail polishes unfortunately contain animal-derived ingredients. For example, cochineal insect pigment is sometimes used to make reds more vivid, or guanine crystals, from fish scales or chameleons, are used to add luster and shine in cosmetics.

To provide a kinder option, this base coat is vegan, 73% plant-based and 21-FREE, meaning it's free from 21 toxic ingredients normally found in nail polishes. Now you can enjoy beautiful colored nails while respecting animals, the environment and yourself!

Prepare your manicure/pedicure by applying a thin layer of base coat and let it dry completely (about 3 minutes). Then, complete with your favorite nail polish shade!

*Beauty tip: Use it as a hardening treatment between your manicures. Apply twice a week (remove it between application). Your nails will be strong and revitalized! 🙊

While we're proudly Canadian, our plant-based nail polish has always been manufactured in the USA, since 2017. We’ve noticed a common assumption that our nail polish production is based in Canada, and we want to clarify this. We chose to partner with a highly reputable European lab that has established their manufacturing facility in the USA, less than 5 hours' drive from our warehouse. To us, sourcing our products within a 5-hour radius aligns with our commitment to supporting local economies and reducing our environmental impact. At present, there is no manufacturer of plant-based nail polish on the American continent, making our choice even more deliberate. We selected our lab partner not only due to proximity but also because of their strong dedication to sustainability:

• They capture and reprocess volatile organic compounds (VOCs), significantly reducing environmental impact.
• They recycle 100% of wastewater used in production.
• They recycle 97% of hazardous waste and 100% of solvents used during manufacturing.
• The bio-sourced ingredients in our polish are responsibly and sustainably procured.
